Thanks for visiting!

Welcome! This is the place where I share my artsy and crafty projects. I am an evolving artist these days ... finding myself enjoying less of the cards and mini albums that I have made for years, and turning to art journaling and more artistic endeavors. I have always enjoyed some craft or other, and some of my earliest memories of my mother helping me make paper dolls and other crafts. I am now in my 60's and finding myself more passionately enjoying creating beautiful things and learning new skills and techniques and products.

While you are here I hope you will find inspiration and ideas for making your own projects, however any images or projects you find here are my personal property and should not be used for your own monetary gain, or for contests or challenges. Thank You!

October Afternoon - Sasparilla - A Mini To Love!

Hi Folks!  You know I've always been a card maker, and I still am ... I guess I'll always love making cards, but lately I've got a new addiction / obsession!  Mini Albums!  So much so that I talked my hubby into letting me get a new toy for an early birthday present ... The Cinch!

I bought it on Friday (at Hobby Lobby with a 40% off coupon ... yippee!) and made the 'bones' of this album same day, then finished it on Saturday at our big crop at my LSS - Altered Angel.

I wanted to share the album with you ... this post will have lots of pics, so be prepared!  First, I want to share the supplies and tools I used:

Supplies:
  • Base (kraft) card stock - The Paper Studio
  • Front and back cover - chipboard - my stash
  • Brown ink (and lots of it!) - Stampabilities
  • Twines, burlap and corrugated cardboard - my stash
  • Patterned paper, die cut elements and stickers - October Afternoon 'Saspailla' collection

Tools:
  • Martha Stewart / EK Success Paper Trimmer
  • The Cinch (and 1" gold binding wires)
  • Scissors, kraft knife, ruler
  • EK Success corner rounding punch - small
  • 1/4" hole punch
And here are the pictures ...

And that is it!  I loved this paper by October Afternoon ... especially the denim as seen on the front and back covers ... it looks like real denim fabric!

This album measures 5" x 7" x 1 1/2" thick, and is ready for pictures of YOUR little cowpoke!  Yes, it is for sale!  Please email me at missmyrtlessundries (at) yahoo (dot) com for more information.
