Thanks for visiting!

Welcome! This is the place where I share my artsy and crafty projects. I am an evolving artist these days ... finding myself enjoying less of the cards and mini albums that I have made for years, and turning to art journaling and more artistic endeavors. I have always enjoyed some craft or other, and some of my earliest memories of my mother helping me make paper dolls and other crafts. I am now in my 60's and finding myself more passionately enjoying creating beautiful things and learning new skills and techniques and products.

While you are here I hope you will find inspiration and ideas for making your own projects, however any images or projects you find here are my personal property and should not be used for your own monetary gain, or for contests or challenges. Thank You!

Updated 6/7/10 - Two whole months - where has the time gone???

Okay, so they say it is a woman's prerogative to change their minds, right?  Well, that's what I've done!  This was my first blog, and I can't not post my cards here, infrequent as they may be!  So, hang on tight, I'm about to start posting cards and other projects to this blog again.  Let's see where this road takes us!  And thanks once again for visiting and leaving sweet comments!  You are the best!  Becky

Hi Folks!  I am so sorry it has been so long since I posted anything on this blog!  There are many reasons why I've been away, the main one is that I haven't been making any cards, but another is that I've just been having too much fun!  In the last few months I have gone from being a down and depressed person who rarely left home, to a much cheerier, much more active person who is getting out and about a lot more!

A great help in getting me out and about has been joining a group called The Georgia Farmgirls, becoming their official blogger, and getting involved in trying to get the group revved up a bit.  We've started having Thursday Night Craft Party, and regular arts and craft shows and flea markets.  I did my first ever craft show as a vendor on May 8th, and was quite pleased with my success at selling handmade crafts (including cards) and vintage items.  Now I am out each Friday looking for more vintage treasures to try to sell at our flea markets we'll be holding the fourth Saturday in June, July, August and September.  I also taught a class on how to make a mini pincushion at one of our Thursday night events, and plan on teaching cardmaking and ATC classes in future weeks and months.

But I haven't quit making cards . . . to be honest, with so much going on my work table had gotten buried under an avalanche of supplies and vintage goodies.  I made a huge dent in getting it RE-organized today, and hope to do more tmorrow to get this mess straightened out again.

That said, I will be letting this blog 'fade away'.  Having two personal blogs, plus the one I do for the Georgia Farmgirls, is just to much, so from now on, whenever I make a card to share with you, I will post it on my other blog @ http://camelliacottagediary.blogspot.com/, so if you are one of my followers here, please go over and add yourself to the followers of Hearth and Home.  I will be leaving this blog up for inspiration and ideas, as well as maintaining access to the wonderful bloggers, designers and companies I have listed in the blog rolls to the right.  But unless it's something extremely special, and I just don't see that happening, future cardmaking posts will be on the other blog.

Thanks for all your support, and thanks to those of you who have asked 'where are you?'.  I'm here, and doing well, and looking forward to spending lots more time crafting, and less time blogging.  Blessings to you all, Becky
