Thanks for visiting!

Welcome! This is the place where I share my artsy and crafty projects. I am an evolving artist these days ... finding myself enjoying less of the cards and mini albums that I have made for years, and turning to art journaling and more artistic endeavors. I have always enjoyed some craft or other, and some of my earliest memories of my mother helping me make paper dolls and other crafts. I am now in my 60's and finding myself more passionately enjoying creating beautiful things and learning new skills and techniques and products.

While you are here I hope you will find inspiration and ideas for making your own projects, however any images or projects you find here are my personal property and should not be used for your own monetary gain, or for contests or challenges. Thank You!

Our Creative Corner Challenge - Fancy Folds

I didn't know if I would have a chance to get a project made for the challenge over at Our Creative Corner this week, so I went with a very simple card that would still fit their challenge of 'Fancy Folds', or a card made using a special folding technique.  I used the joy fold card, and you can find a tutorial for making it HERE.  And I promise  you it's really easy, and the instructions are simple to follow.

Here is my card based on the challenge ...

Supplies:
  • Base card stock - The Paper Studio
  • Patterned paper, Brad, Masking Tape Strips, Twine and Clear Stamps - Pebbles, Inc.
  • Red button - Buttons Galore and More
  • Ink - Anna Griffin
  • Adhesive - Glue Glider Pro and Perma Tac Adhesive

 Tools:

  • Martha Stewart paper trimmer
  • Martha Stewart scoring board
  • Ruler, scissors, craft knife
  • Acrylic block for stamps
  • 1/4" hole punch

Before I go I want to share one of my favorite new product lines with you!  A few weeks ago I won some goodies from Moxie Fab World, a blog that's part of Paper Crafts Magazine.   One of the things I won was all kinds of goodies from Pebbles, Inc. - a division of American Crafts.  I wasn't sure what to expect, so when I got this big box of patterned paper, clear stamps, fibers, covered button brads, masking tape strips, buttons, and more, I was kind of blown away.

But what really touched me was the sweet letter from Elizabeth Gosney, a Marketing Specialist with American Crafts.  It was such a sweet letter, and she asked me to share about their new product line with my friends.

Let me tell you - I'm loving these products!  The line is 'Fresh Goods', and right up my alley!  The bright colors and country fresh patterns were so 'me' that they just made me smile!  The papers are great quailty, as are all the other goodies.  I love the cute clear stamps and the masking tape stickers are very unique and fun!  If you haven't heard of them, please go check out their BLOG HERE, or go like them on FACEBOOK HERE. Oops, guess I got off track a bit, but I really wanted to tell you about Pebbles!

Thanks so much for visiting!  Blessings, Becky

It just makes me happy and I'm sure the recipient will love opening up the envelope, as well. Thanks so much for joining us at Our Creative Corner this week! :)
