Thanks for visiting!

Welcome! This is the place where I share my artsy and crafty projects. I am an evolving artist these days ... finding myself enjoying less of the cards and mini albums that I have made for years, and turning to art journaling and more artistic endeavors. I have always enjoyed some craft or other, and some of my earliest memories of my mother helping me make paper dolls and other crafts. I am now in my 60's and finding myself more passionately enjoying creating beautiful things and learning new skills and techniques and products.

While you are here I hope you will find inspiration and ideas for making your own projects, however any images or projects you find here are my personal property and should not be used for your own monetary gain, or for contests or challenges. Thank You!

Christmas Blessings

I must admit, the old card-making mojo, or inspiration, or whatever you call it has deserted me of late. It just hasn't been there! But today it's raised it's lazy head and let me make a card for not one, but two challenges! This one card fits the bill for both the 2 Sketches 4 You challenge this week for Laura's Sketch 12, and for Daring Card Makers challenge to make a card with 'bling'! Here's my one entry for both challenges.

I used Bazzill 'orange peel' textured cardstock for the base, and my current favorite My Minds Eye Be Merry papers. This one is the Snowball Fun paper. I used some 'diamond' Stickles on some of the snowflakes to add some extra bling.

The chipboard bird is inked with a soft green ink, then liberally coated with some very fine 'crystal' glitter. The eye is a pink rhinestone, and he's wearing a pretty pink organza bow around his neck.

The flowers are Prima hydrangeas that I coated with a clear glue and covered with the same fine glitter, and added another pink rhinestone for the center.

The greeting is simple, and printed on my printer, inked with brown, backed with some more of the cardstock. The gorgeous green velvet ribbon came from One Hundred Wishes - a wonderful online shop that you can find in my links to the left.

So, that's my card, and evidence that maybe the card-making mojo is back for a while. Now, which challenge do I try next??? Have a blessed weekend everyone! Becky
