Thanks for visiting!

Welcome! This is the place where I share my artsy and crafty projects. I am an evolving artist these days ... finding myself enjoying less of the cards and mini albums that I have made for years, and turning to art journaling and more artistic endeavors. I have always enjoyed some craft or other, and some of my earliest memories of my mother helping me make paper dolls and other crafts. I am now in my 60's and finding myself more passionately enjoying creating beautiful things and learning new skills and techniques and products.

While you are here I hope you will find inspiration and ideas for making your own projects, however any images or projects you find here are my personal property and should not be used for your own monetary gain, or for contests or challenges. Thank You!

Daring Cardmakers "Birds"

Just a quick post to share the card I made for Daring Card Makers 'dare' this week. The challenge was to put a bird or birds on your card. Here's my entry >>>

I've made this card for a special friend, and it's a special card! The birdie is actually a pin (brooch) that I made for her. It's felt and embroidery floss with a safety pin back.

The papers are my favorite My Minds Eye 'Be Merry' line on Bazzill cardstock. The dark green stitching was done on my machine. There's a snowflake Christmas Ornament behind the bird that can be removed as well.

I simply attached the birdie to the pink organza bow with the safety pin sewn onto the birds back.

A very simple card, but with a gift attached. I can't wait to mail my friend the card and see how she likes it! Thanks for looking, and Blessings Friends! Becky
