Thanks for visiting!

Welcome! This is the place where I share my artsy and crafty projects. I am an evolving artist these days ... finding myself enjoying less of the cards and mini albums that I have made for years, and turning to art journaling and more artistic endeavors. I have always enjoyed some craft or other, and some of my earliest memories of my mother helping me make paper dolls and other crafts. I am now in my 60's and finding myself more passionately enjoying creating beautiful things and learning new skills and techniques and products.

While you are here I hope you will find inspiration and ideas for making your own projects, however any images or projects you find here are my personal property and should not be used for your own monetary gain, or for contests or challenges. Thank You!

Scrapbook Trends Challenge

I just recently found the cards blog portion of Scrapbook Trends Magazine, and I love this challenge!  The challenge was to take the February 2010 cover card and use it as inspiration.  You can use any part of it to make your card.  Here is a picture of the inspiration card . . .

For my card I used the love theme and the polka dots from the original inspiration card, and here is my take . . .

And here are the details . . .

Cardstock by Die Cuts With a View (DCWV)

Patterned paper by Jenni Bowlin

Bling by Prima 'e' Line

Copper wire from my stash

Cricut Info:
  • Card cut from Walk In My Garden cartridge, card 2 set on 5 inches
  • Dotted paper cut on WIMG cartrige, card 1 set on 3 3/4 inches
  • Red square cut as above, but on 'shadow' setting
  • Butterfly cut on Serenade Solutions cartridge using 2 different sizes and shadows for each, for 4 pieces.
  • Love cut on Home Accents Solutions cartridge
  • Hearts cut on Plantin SchoolBook cartridge

Thanks so much for visiting!  Come back soon to see what I'm up to in my little play room!  Blessings, Becky
