Thanks for visiting!

Welcome! This is the place where I share my artsy and crafty projects. I am an evolving artist these days ... finding myself enjoying less of the cards and mini albums that I have made for years, and turning to art journaling and more artistic endeavors. I have always enjoyed some craft or other, and some of my earliest memories of my mother helping me make paper dolls and other crafts. I am now in my 60's and finding myself more passionately enjoying creating beautiful things and learning new skills and techniques and products.

While you are here I hope you will find inspiration and ideas for making your own projects, however any images or projects you find here are my personal property and should not be used for your own monetary gain, or for contests or challenges. Thank You!

It's HERE!!! Friendship's Garden Challenge Blog Is ON!!!

Hi there!  After weeks of obsessing over decisions, searching for Design Team members and sponsors, and working out little bumps in the road, the time is HERE!!!

Friendship's Garden Challenge Blog is now officially started!!!  This challenge is pretty special to me, and I hope it will become special to you, too!  Our main focus is to create cards and other paper crafting projects in which you can not use a stamped image!  And as time goes on we will be talking about places where you can find great images!  If you are curious, you can look at the list of some of my favorite places to find images - in the column to your right, way down below the list of challenges.

Now, on to the challenge!  Today's challenge is to create a card using the theme of new beginnings - a new home, baby, job, car, wedding - you name it, just as long as you keep to the theme of new beginnings.  BUT!  There is a twist!  And that is that the front of your card must have a 'window' or cut out opening on it.  Here is my card for the challenge ...

Supplies:
  • Card stock - The Paper Studio
  • Patterned paper - Making Memories
  • Image - Flickr
  • Ribbon - Bluebird Lane Etsy shop
  • Sentiment - SRM Stickers

Tools:
  • Cricut Expression and Walk In My Garden cartridge
  • Cuttlebug
  • Spellbinders Nestabilities 'Labels 4'
  • Computer and ink jet printer
  • Scissors, ruler, craft knife and rotary tool

And that is my first project for the Friendship's Garden first ever challenge!  Now, if you are following the blog hop, you need to click above and go back to the main Friendship's Garden blog and leave a few comments for a chance to win the blog hop prize sponsored by Designs on Cloud 9.  Also, in order to be in for a chance to win the $10 prize sponsored by Altered Angel, you must enter a project based on the challenge.

Now, off you go, back to Friendship's Garden!  Blessings, Becky
