Welcome! This is the place where I share my artsy and crafty projects. I am an evolving artist these days ... finding myself enjoying less of the cards and mini albums that I have made for years, and turning to art journaling and more artistic endeavors. I have always enjoyed some craft or other, and some of my earliest memories of my mother helping me make paper dolls and other crafts. I am now in my 60's and finding myself more passionately enjoying creating beautiful things and learning new skills and techniques and products.

Our Creative Corner Challenge - Faces

Hello folks!  I just wanted to do a quick post to share with you this card I made for Our Creative Corner's challenge this week!  The challenge is to feature a face or faces on your project.  And here is my card . . .




I really let my 'vintage' style shine on this card, and I love it!  Here are all the details . . .

Supplies:
  • Card stock (kraft) - The Paper Studio
  • Patterned papers - Melissa Frances
  • Red card stock - Core-dinations
  • Button -  Buttons Galore and More
  • Ribbon - WalMart (Maybe!)
  • Sentiment - SRM Stickers
  • Image - Bumble Buttons
  • Ink - Stampabilities

Tools:
  • Computer and ink jet printer
  • Cricut Expression with Walk In My Garden and Elegant Edges cartridges
  • Ruler, scoring tool, rotary cutter, scissors and craft knife

Here is a close-up of the image I used . . .






I think this is one my very, VERY favorite images!  I cut her out from the background and popped her up on some foam pieces.  I also inked the edges to give it more of a feeling of age.  I think I see some Christmas Tags using this in my future!  :o)
