Thanks for visiting!

Welcome! This is the place where I share my artsy and crafty projects. I am an evolving artist these days ... finding myself enjoying less of the cards and mini albums that I have made for years, and turning to art journaling and more artistic endeavors. I have always enjoyed some craft or other, and some of my earliest memories of my mother helping me make paper dolls and other crafts. I am now in my 60's and finding myself more passionately enjoying creating beautiful things and learning new skills and techniques and products.

While you are here I hope you will find inspiration and ideas for making your own projects, however any images or projects you find here are my personal property and should not be used for your own monetary gain, or for contests or challenges. Thank You!

Friendship's Garden Challenge # 10 and It's A Love Thing Blog Hop!

Hello there, and welcome!!!  If you are here for the blog hop, you should have just come here from Carolyn's blog.  If not, and you want to participate in our blog hop, you need to go back to the Friendship's Garden blog and start from the beginning.

We will be giving our usual Top 3 award and $10 gift certificate from Altered Angel, but we will also be giving away a $20 gift certificate to Designs on Cloud 9 website where you can find drawn and colored digi files in many different file types.  They are great for paper piecing, too!  Michelle of DoC9 let the Garden Girls use one of her files for our inspiration projects this week, and we chose Bee Mine.  Here is my project for this week's challenge ...

I used the .jpg file, saved it to Picasa and printed it as a 4 x 6 image.  Then I cut out the base  image, an extra set of wings, 'hands', and the larger pink heart.  I put silver Stickles around the wings, let it dry and then filled in the whole wings with Glossy Accent and when it had dried, glued them onto the back of the bee.  I bumped the pink  heart up with foam dots and then glued the hands on top of that.  Then I put the sentiment on top of the hands, also bumped up with foam dots.  As you can see I used a lot of Stickles and Glossy Accents.  The paper is from The Paper Studio, and the button is from Buttons Galore and More.  I did add Diamond Stickles to the center of the button.  The red ribbon was a yard sale find!

I'm going to use this card to send to my Mama for Valentines!  I think she'll like it!

Okay, now you need to leave me a comment and then go straight back to the Friendship's Challenge blog and leave a comment, and follow the other steps.  And good luck!!!

Blessings, Becky

This is gorgeous - love the button, as well as the fun image - love the idea of the blog hop - I was too early for some of the girls, so will return to them later before I go back to Friendship's Garden with my final comment x
