Thanks for visiting!

Welcome! This is the place where I share my artsy and crafty projects. I am an evolving artist these days ... finding myself enjoying less of the cards and mini albums that I have made for years, and turning to art journaling and more artistic endeavors. I have always enjoyed some craft or other, and some of my earliest memories of my mother helping me make paper dolls and other crafts. I am now in my 60's and finding myself more passionately enjoying creating beautiful things and learning new skills and techniques and products.

While you are here I hope you will find inspiration and ideas for making your own projects, however any images or projects you find here are my personal property and should not be used for your own monetary gain, or for contests or challenges. Thank You!

Somewhere ... over the rainbow!

I love participating in the monthly 'gallery' challenges at Paper Crafts Magazine!   They give you a theme or other challenge, and a link to their Flickr gallery and you post projects there that fit the challenge.  This month's challenge is a rainbow challenge, or if you prefer ... Spectrums. Gradients. Ombré.

And as soon as I saw this month's challenge, I knew what I wanted to do.  Here is my entry ...

Have you ever heard of Roy G. Biv???  Well, Roy isn't a real person, but rather an interesting way to remember the colors of the rainbow ... Red Orange Yellow Green Blue Indigo Violet ... See, Roy G. Biv!  And I used that easy concept to make my card.  I cut strips of cardstock the same width from just small scraps, then used my scallopped circle punch (Recollections/Michaels) and punched one end of each scrap.  Then I bumped each pennan off the page with a foam dot, added a length of lace on top, some Stickles 'diamond' to each pennant, and a sticker sentiment from SRM Stickers, and I was done!  A simple card that packs a punch, color wise.

Thanks for visiting today!  And come back soon to see what I'm working on now ... next up is another mini album I'm making using Crate Paper's 'Farmhouse' collection.  See you soon!  Becky

Cute! I think I like simple cards the best!
