Oh NO! Not another sketch challenge, lol! Yep, I just found Sketch This, and here is my entry for this week's sketch - # 60.
I just love these Fancy Pants papers and rub-ons from the 'Simplicity' line. They all look like old fabrics and pattern instructions from the 1950's era. I used the floral side of 'Form' for the base, then added a section of the brown side of 'Unity' in the center top. The green 'pattern instructions' section is on one side of - believe it or not - 'Patterns', lol! I've matted it on the pink polka dotted side of the same. The section across the bottom with the pink ric-rack is from 'Decorate'.
I used several of the rub-ons from the same line, including the 'Quick Measure' at the very bottom, the 3 dresses just above the ric'rack, and the words 'simple' and 'pleasures'. The pink ric-rack to the left is real ric-rack, as is the stitching in brown. I used a cross stitch look stitch, a straight stitch, and a zig zag stitch. I embellished with three coordinating buttons, a bow of old lace, and a pink satin ribbon rose. Thank you for looking, and for visiting Camellia Cottage. See you later! Becky
