Thanks for visiting!

Welcome! This is the place where I share my artsy and crafty projects. I am an evolving artist these days ... finding myself enjoying less of the cards and mini albums that I have made for years, and turning to art journaling and more artistic endeavors. I have always enjoyed some craft or other, and some of my earliest memories of my mother helping me make paper dolls and other crafts. I am now in my 60's and finding myself more passionately enjoying creating beautiful things and learning new skills and techniques and products.

While you are here I hope you will find inspiration and ideas for making your own projects, however any images or projects you find here are my personal property and should not be used for your own monetary gain, or for contests or challenges. Thank You!

The Last Christmas Projects . . .

Yes, this is my last Christmas projects of 2009.  And you know, it's about time!  Today I am sharing one card and one tag with you.  They are both made using papers from Fancy Pants 'Christmas Magic' collection.

I made this card for my Dad's cousin and his wife who every year make gift baskets for a whole lot of people.  They have fruit and nuts and even homemade baked goods.  For several years they have been giving these goodies to my parents, but this year they included me in the group, and I am so grateful!  I hope they like their card!

. . . and the products list . . .

Papers from Fancy Pants 'Christmas Magic' collection:

  • On The Tree

  • Christmas Magic Cards

Cardstock - Bazzill

Sentiment and ornament stamp from Walmart Christmas stamp set, using Versamark ink and Rangers 'Queens Gold' embossing powders, heat embossed

The scallopped tag was a gift from my friend Tish!  (Tish, if you read this, please e-mal me!!!)

The paper lace came from One Hundred Wishes - an incredible source that no longer sells ribbon, lace, etc..

The deep rose and ecru scrunched seam binding is frm Glitter Your World

The pearls are from Prima e. line of bling

Glittery bits are Stickles 'stardust'

I made this tag while I still had the Christmas stuff out, and I was still in the creating mode.  It was made using the same paper products as above, with the addition of the Christmas Magic paper "Chestnus Roasting" and "Christmas Magic Strips".  Other additions are the shimmery organza ribbon, brass safety pin and bell, vintage lace from my stash, and the velvet ribbon from Glitter Your World.  I also used some Stickles 'icicle' on the sentiment.  Here it is . . .

I hope you've enjoyed these projects.  This will probably be my last post until after Christmas (although you never know!) so I want to take this opportunity to thank you for each time you visit, each comment, and especially for welcoming me back into the cardmaking community after my almost 10 month absence.  It is so good to be playing with paper again!   Christmas Blessings to you all, Becky

Oh this card is gorgeous. I say this all the time but this is on my list to learn to do. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
