Thanks for visiting!

Welcome! This is the place where I share my artsy and crafty projects. I am an evolving artist these days ... finding myself enjoying less of the cards and mini albums that I have made for years, and turning to art journaling and more artistic endeavors. I have always enjoyed some craft or other, and some of my earliest memories of my mother helping me make paper dolls and other crafts. I am now in my 60's and finding myself more passionately enjoying creating beautiful things and learning new skills and techniques and products.

While you are here I hope you will find inspiration and ideas for making your own projects, however any images or projects you find here are my personal property and should not be used for your own monetary gain, or for contests or challenges. Thank You!

An 'All Cricut' Project

The idea for this project kind of 'bubbled around' in my head for a couple of days before I finally sat down and worked on it.  I have to say it took a lot of little pieces and glueing tiny bits of cardstock together.  Thank goodness for my Zig 2 Way Glue pens!  I have both the fine tip and chisel tip, and they are great for glueing those letter shadows and letters together!

I hope you like this project as much as I do!  It is a door hanger that you could hang in your kitchen to let the family know if you've cooked, or if it's delivery for dinner tonight!  I had to do two pics, so here is one side . . .

and the other side . . .

And a few spotlight pics . . .

And I have a question for you!  Does anyone know what this hole is for???  Look in th picture below.  There is an extra hole below the hole for hanging over the doorknob.  I have no clue what it's for, but hope to come up with some way of covering it up or embellishing soon!

And here is my products list . . .

Base (yellow) and black cardstock is by Bazzill

Red and white cardstock is from a Die Cuts With a View (DCWV) cardstock stack

Cricut Info:
  • Door hanger is cut using Tags, Bags, Boxes and More, hanger1, mirrored, at 10 1/2 inches.  I scored it in the center, folded and glued it together
  • Phone and soup pot, words soup and chef are cut using the From My Kitchen cartridge
  • Letters are cut using Plantin Schoolbook cartridge
As I said above, this involved a lot of tiny pieces, but I love the way it looks!  I'm going to hang it on the magnetic hook on my refrigerator door!

Thanks for visiting, and I hope you will visit again soon!  Blesings, Becky
