This week the great folks over at Daring Card Makers are issuing a 'dare' based on the sketch below. The great thing about this challenge is that it is sponsored by Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker, a wonderful new line of papers and embellishments, and Sarah's Cards Ltd, an equally great online store that carries some of the Nikki Sivils products. Here's the sketch >>>
And here is the card I made based on the sketch >>>
And here's all the info >>>
Base card is from Die Cuts With a View card stock, as is the blue matting behind the striped paper. The card base was cut on the Cricut Expression using 'card2' set at 5 inches with the Walk in My Garden cartridge.
The patterned papers are all from Bo Bunny:
- Abbey Road 'Stripe'
- Abbey Road 'Vine' and
- Abbey Road 'Sky'
Pearls are from Prima e-line. A bit of glitter from Stickles 'Star Dust'.
The sentiment is a rub-on from an old K & Company 'Brenda Walton' tin, and I don't remember the name. It was mounted on two different colors of scrap card stock.
The lace is from Hobby Lobby, and purchased by the yard, so I don't have a name. The blue pearl trim is from my stash - a gift from a friend. The stitching was done on my Kenmore sewing machine.
I love the new papers I used on this card. In fact, I just bought them on Friday while, on a trip to Florida with a friend, I visited a great store called 'Gigi's Scrapbookin' in Foley, Alabama.. I'll have more on the store in a few days - but I will say this - it was heavenly!
Have a great week everyone! Becky
