Thanks for visiting!

Welcome! This is the place where I share my artsy and crafty projects. I am an evolving artist these days ... finding myself enjoying less of the cards and mini albums that I have made for years, and turning to art journaling and more artistic endeavors. I have always enjoyed some craft or other, and some of my earliest memories of my mother helping me make paper dolls and other crafts. I am now in my 60's and finding myself more passionately enjoying creating beautiful things and learning new skills and techniques and products.

While you are here I hope you will find inspiration and ideas for making your own projects, however any images or projects you find here are my personal property and should not be used for your own monetary gain, or for contests or challenges. Thank You!

Unscripted Sketches Challenge # 88 - With Love

Well, the Christmas and New Years holidays are part of the past, so now we start looking toward the next occasion for which to make cards!  And what better occasion than Valentines!!!  I've been busy making cards and tags and am having so much fun finding vintage images online to use in my projects!  Our sketch inspiration over at Unscripted Sketches this week just looked like a romantic Valentines card to me!  Here is the sketch for Challenge # 88 . . .

. . . and here is my card based on the sketch . . .

 . . . and here are the details . . .

Product Info:
  • Base cardstock is from Die Cuts With a View 'Be Mine' Stack - it already had the text and glitter on the paper.
  • Fuscia cardstock is from the same DCWV stack.
  • The image is from a clipart software, printed onto ivory cardstock
  • Gems are Prima eLine
  • Seam binding ribbon is from Bluebird Lane Etsy shop
  • Twine and vintage mother of pearl button are from my stash
  • Image and sentiment spritzed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Irridescent Gold

Tips, Tools and Techniques:
  • Card base was cut using Cricut Expression, Walk in My Garden cartridge, card2 set at 5"
  • Fuscia label was cut using Cricut Expression, Nursery Rhymes cartridge,  using Monogram feature
  • Image was hand trimmed to fit the frame.  Sentiment was stamped using an Inkadinkadoo Brenda Walton Occasions stamp set and fuscia ink.  Then both were spritzed with Glimmer Mist and allowed to dry before mounting.

Are you making cards or other projects for Valentines yet?  Of all the occasions, I think making Valentines are the very most fun!  Be Joyful!  Becky
