Thanks for visiting!

Welcome! This is the place where I share my artsy and crafty projects. I am an evolving artist these days ... finding myself enjoying less of the cards and mini albums that I have made for years, and turning to art journaling and more artistic endeavors. I have always enjoyed some craft or other, and some of my earliest memories of my mother helping me make paper dolls and other crafts. I am now in my 60's and finding myself more passionately enjoying creating beautiful things and learning new skills and techniques and products.

While you are here I hope you will find inspiration and ideas for making your own projects, however any images or projects you find here are my personal property and should not be used for your own monetary gain, or for contests or challenges. Thank You!

Unscripted Sketches 2nd Anniversary and 100th Sketch Celebration!

Woohoooooooo!!!  It’s finally here!  It’s Unscripted Sketches Second Blogiversary AND 100th Sketch Celebration!!!

Please read all the way through this post for lots of information about our festivities and how YOU can win one of two special prizes donated by Sparkle Creations,  or one of several great RAKS!  (RAK – Random Act of Kindness, or a bunch of great goodies donated by members of our design team!)

First, let me share with you the 100th sketch . . .

And my project based on the sketch . . .

And all of the details . . .

Product Info:
  •  Base cardstock is DCWV Citrus Stack
  • Yellow Cardstock is The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby) Pastel Stack
  • Gingham paper is The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby)
  • Ribbon is from my stash
  • Image is from clipart software
  • Crepe Paper is from Hobby Lobby
  • Stickles ‘Diamond’

Tips, Tools and Techniques:

Cricut Expression:
  • Card base was cut using Walk In My Garden cartridge, card2 set at 5 inches

Other:
  • Image was cut using Cuttlebug and Labels One Spellbinders Nestabilities die
  • Embossing on yellow cardstock was done using Cuttlebug and D’vine Swirls embossing folder
  • Crepe paper (streamer) was stitched down the middle with a sewing machine on a long basting stitch, then drawn together for the ruffling effect.  The ribbon was glued on top of the center stitching

Okay, now on to all the fun stuff!   First, I want to welcome our new designers:
  • Irena (from Poland)
  • Val
  • Monique
  • Loes (from the Netherlands)
  • Susan
  • KathyJo
  • Mary
  • Regan

I am really looking forward to getting to know these great ladies and seeing the projects they come up with based on the sketches.  You can find links to their blogs, along with all the other DT members, on my right hand side bar.

Next, to celebrate our anniversary and 100th sketch, we are having a blog hop and word scramble contest!   If you're not familiar with a blog hop, it is simply a circle. You start at the Unscripted Sketches blog site, and there you will be directed to the blog of one of our design team members. That DT member will give you a clue, then direct you to another, and so forth. Once you have reached the blog of the last DT member, they will direct you back to the Unscripted Sketches website. There you can leave a comment and a random winner of one of the stamps donated by Sparkle Creations will be chosen from that pool of comments.

Don't forget to collect your letter clues along the way as you hop from blog to blog! Unscramble them all and email your guess to sarahkozy@hotmail.com no later than Tuesday, April 5 at midnight EST to be entered to win the big sponsor prize!  Each DT member will give you a clue, and then send you on to the next person on the list.

MY CLUE IS THE LETTER ‘I
(Yes, I as in ‘ink’, as in ‘icing’ as in I love parties!)

If you are here, hopefully you were directed here by Monique, one of our very newest Design Team Members.  If you didn’t come from her blog, please go back to the Unscripted Sketches blog and start from the beginning.

Once you get back to the Unscripted Sketches blog at the end of the blog hop, there are instructions on ways to win other special prizes, but first, you need to go visit my friend Arielle’s blog to get the next clue!

And I can’t wait to see what you come up with for this week’s special sketch!  Have fun, and good luck!
