Thanks for visiting!

Welcome! This is the place where I share my artsy and crafty projects. I am an evolving artist these days ... finding myself enjoying less of the cards and mini albums that I have made for years, and turning to art journaling and more artistic endeavors. I have always enjoyed some craft or other, and some of my earliest memories of my mother helping me make paper dolls and other crafts. I am now in my 60's and finding myself more passionately enjoying creating beautiful things and learning new skills and techniques and products.

While you are here I hope you will find inspiration and ideas for making your own projects, however any images or projects you find here are my personal property and should not be used for your own monetary gain, or for contests or challenges. Thank You!

CPS #224 and Little Red Wagon 'Anniversary' Card

Hello!  Here I am back with another card that fits the bill for two challenges!  I loved the sketch over at CPS (Card Positioning Systems) this week, and as I was planning the card, I realized the sketch would work perfectly for Little Red Wagon's challenge this week to make an anniversary card!   Here is the sketch from CPS . . .

And here is my take on the challenges . . .

And here are the details . . .

The Supplies:

  • Card stock - The Paper Studio
  • Patterned paper - Fancy Pants, Wishful Thinking 'Adorable'
  • Sentiment - SRM Press # 51004 Love
  • Stickles 'diamond'
  • Seam binding - Bluebird Lane Etsy Shop
  • Vintage image found on Flickr

The Tools:
  • Cricut Expression with Walk In My Garden and Elegant Edges cartridges
  • Cuttlebug and Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Circles Small die set
  • EK Success Corner Rounding Punch - medium
  • Scissors, craft knife, ruler and rotary cutter
  • Computer and ink jet printer

Cricut Info:
  • For the card base I used Walk In My Garden cartridge, card2 set at 5"
  • For the patterned paper I used the WIMG cartridge, card1 set at 4 1/2"
  • For the bottom (pink) layer of the frame I used snwflk-s set at 2 3/4" using the Frame feature
  • For the top (green) layer of the frame I used snowflke set at 2 3/4" using the Frame feature

And there you have it!  A really sweet card for a very sweet couple!  Please leave me a comment and let me know how you like my card!  I love hearing from people who visit!  Thanks for coming, and I hope to see you again soon.  Blessings, Becky
