Thanks for visiting!

Welcome! This is the place where I share my artsy and crafty projects. I am an evolving artist these days ... finding myself enjoying less of the cards and mini albums that I have made for years, and turning to art journaling and more artistic endeavors. I have always enjoyed some craft or other, and some of my earliest memories of my mother helping me make paper dolls and other crafts. I am now in my 60's and finding myself more passionately enjoying creating beautiful things and learning new skills and techniques and products.

While you are here I hope you will find inspiration and ideas for making your own projects, however any images or projects you find here are my personal property and should not be used for your own monetary gain, or for contests or challenges. Thank You!

Unscripted Sketches # 113 - Christmas in July Day 2

Hello and Merry Christmas!!!  Today is day two of Christmas in July at Unscripted Sketches!

We are having games and giveaways and all sorts of fun things for the whole month of July, so be sure to check in every day in July!  Your projects for this month don't have to be Christmas themed, but it is a wonderful opportunity to get a jump start on your Christmas cards!

Here is the sketch for this week's challenge . . .

And here is my card based on this week's sketch . . .

Supply List:

  • Card base - Stampabilities from Hobby Lobby
  • Papers 'Recollections' from Michaels
  • Image found on Flickr
  • Stamp 'Recollections' from Michaels
  • Green ink - Anna Griffin
  • Ranger clear embossing powder
  • Stickles 'crystal'

Tools:
  • Scissors, craft knife, ruler, rotary cutter
  • Computer and ink jet printer (image)

And that is it for today's card.  Very simple, very cute, and for a little extra goodie, here is the file of the image that I used.  Simply save it to your computer and edit, resize and print using your own photo editing software. I use Picasa 3 from Google.  It is an easy download, and very easy to use!

Now, I will be back on Wednesday July 6th for my 'Designer Spotlight' day, and will be sharing with you how to make easy Christmas tags that can easily be made into gift card holders, plus the chance to win supplies to make your own tags.  Thanks for visiting today, and Merry Christmas!!!  Becky

I like this one! I think I like simple designs best, plus the vintage santa is so rosy-cheeked.
