Thanks for visiting!

Welcome! This is the place where I share my artsy and crafty projects. I am an evolving artist these days ... finding myself enjoying less of the cards and mini albums that I have made for years, and turning to art journaling and more artistic endeavors. I have always enjoyed some craft or other, and some of my earliest memories of my mother helping me make paper dolls and other crafts. I am now in my 60's and finding myself more passionately enjoying creating beautiful things and learning new skills and techniques and products.

While you are here I hope you will find inspiration and ideas for making your own projects, however any images or projects you find here are my personal property and should not be used for your own monetary gain, or for contests or challenges. Thank You!

Daring Cardmakers and Sugar Creek Hollow Challenges

Just a quick post to share a card for two challenges.  The challenges are . . .

And here is my card based on the two challenges . . .

Natural Elements for Daring Cardmakers challenge - burlap, wood (buttons and sentiment base) and cotton twine.

Supplies:
  • Base (kraft) cardstock - The Paper Studio
  • Patterned paper - 7 Gypsies
  • Burlap, cotton twine and wood my stash
  • Sentiment - SRM Stickers

Tools:
  • Cricut Expression and Walk In My Garden cartridge (Base card2 set at 5" and pp card1 set at 5")
  • Cuttlebug
  • Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Circlel Small
  • 1/8" hole punch
  • Scissors, ruler, craft knife, rotary cutter

Tips:
  • The buttons were made by cutting circles out of the thin wood with the Cuttlebug and Nesties, then punching 1/8" holes
  • I found the very thin 'slice' of wood in a cigar box I bought at a yard sale

And that's the card for two challenges!  Thanks for visiting!  Blessings, Becky!!!
