Thanks for visiting!

Welcome! This is the place where I share my artsy and crafty projects. I am an evolving artist these days ... finding myself enjoying less of the cards and mini albums that I have made for years, and turning to art journaling and more artistic endeavors. I have always enjoyed some craft or other, and some of my earliest memories of my mother helping me make paper dolls and other crafts. I am now in my 60's and finding myself more passionately enjoying creating beautiful things and learning new skills and techniques and products.

While you are here I hope you will find inspiration and ideas for making your own projects, however any images or projects you find here are my personal property and should not be used for your own monetary gain, or for contests or challenges. Thank You!

Our Creative Corner 'Fun with Fruit' Challenge

I know I'm not alone in this, so here goes:  Do you ever save, or hold onto certain items just waiting for the perfect occasion to use them?  Of course you do!  And that's what I was doing with this sheet of Websters Pages paper with the vintage looking jars of fruit on it.  I just knew the right circumstances would come along, and they did!  This week's challenge at Our Creative Corner is 'Fun with Fruit', and we are asked to make a project with fruit on it.  And here is my card based on this week's challenge . . .

Supplies Used:

  • Base (kraft) card stock - The Paper Studio
  • Green cardstock (behind label and sentiment) - DCWV
  • Patterned paper - Jillibean Soup
  • Cherry jar - Websters Pages
  • Flower - Prima
  • Sentiment - SRM Stickers
  • Ribbon and vintage button - my stash
  • Brown ink - Stampabilities

Tools Used:
  • Cricut Expression and Walk In My Garden (WIMG) and Elegant Edges (EE) cartridges
  • Scissors, craft knife, ruler and rotary cutter

Cricut Cuts:
  • Card base - WIMG cartridge, card2 set at 5"
  • Striped paper label - EE cartridge, LceEge-s set at 4 1/2"

So, what do you think?  I'd love to hear your comments on this card!  Blessings, Becky

This is totally adorable. I love your jelly jar and that yummy grosgrain ribbon! Glad you held on to that Webster's Pages paper - it is definitely perfect for this card! Terrific job on the fruit challenge. So happy you joined in the fun with us this week at Our Creative Corner.
