Thanks for visiting!

Welcome! This is the place where I share my artsy and crafty projects. I am an evolving artist these days ... finding myself enjoying less of the cards and mini albums that I have made for years, and turning to art journaling and more artistic endeavors. I have always enjoyed some craft or other, and some of my earliest memories of my mother helping me make paper dolls and other crafts. I am now in my 60's and finding myself more passionately enjoying creating beautiful things and learning new skills and techniques and products.

While you are here I hope you will find inspiration and ideas for making your own projects, however any images or projects you find here are my personal property and should not be used for your own monetary gain, or for contests or challenges. Thank You!

Friendship's Garden Challenge 2 - A Vintage Halloween

Hello!  Welcome to my crafty blog, and challenge number TWO  for Friendship's Garden!  I was really pleased with the response in challenge 1, but hope to see even more this week!

Our challenge this week is to make a halloween card with a vintage feel, and here is my take on the challenge . . . .

I have to tell you that I LOVE this sweet image!  I mean, what's with that finger up in the air?  It's just adorable!  Here are the details . . .

Supplies:
  • Base (kraft) card stock - The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby)
  • Patterned papers - Black floral - Fancy Pants Designs; Numbers - House of Three
  • Image - Flickr
  • Ink - Stampabilities
  • Fibers:  Vintage lace - estate sale find; Ribbon - Hobby Lobby; Twine - Pick Your Plum
  • Button - Buttons Galore and More
  • Stickles 'Gold'

Tools:
  • Computer and ink jet printer
  • Cricut Expression and Walk In My Garden cartridge
  • Scissors, rotary trimmer, craft knife and ruler

I really love that funny, sweet image - but then I've already said that!  Please go to the Friendship's Garden blog and join in the fun!  One person will win a $10.00 gift certificate from Altered Angel  and a guest designer spot.  Thanks for visiting!  Becky

So cute!!! If I ever get to stay home, I might have to change from crocheting to cardmaking because of my hand. I still don't know what I am doing when I make a card though! lol
