Thanks for visiting!

Welcome! This is the place where I share my artsy and crafty projects. I am an evolving artist these days ... finding myself enjoying less of the cards and mini albums that I have made for years, and turning to art journaling and more artistic endeavors. I have always enjoyed some craft or other, and some of my earliest memories of my mother helping me make paper dolls and other crafts. I am now in my 60's and finding myself more passionately enjoying creating beautiful things and learning new skills and techniques and products.

While you are here I hope you will find inspiration and ideas for making your own projects, however any images or projects you find here are my personal property and should not be used for your own monetary gain, or for contests or challenges. Thank You!

Mystery Solved!

Nah, it's not really a mystery, but remember the pictures I shared with you the other day in THIS post? The one about me going out of my comfort zone? Well, I got the okay today and I can tell you all about it!

A few weeks ago I got an e-mail, just out of the blue, from Jan at Making Handmade Cards. Jan liked the cards on my blog and thought I might be just what they were looking for to be a guest designer on their website. Of course I'd never heard of them, and I checked out the website, asked her some questions, then told her sure, I'll give it a try.

What they do at Making Handmade Cards (MHC) is create digital papers, and you download the files, and print the papers at your leisure for use in making cards or other papercrafting projects. As a guest designer, I get the new kits before they are available to the public and make cards and other projects for them to (maybe) use on their website.

I have received invitations for two new sets of 'printables', and today I submitted my first four designs for the 'Boudoir' kit. I don't know yet if they will be used for their website, and may not know until the new kit is released to the public, but I am now able to share my projects with you.

Boudoir is a very fun kit! The papers are girly with a french twist. Corsets, perfume bottles, mirrors, bows and lacing, Eiffel Towers, etc. with backgrounds of pink, blue, aqua, yellow, etc. Here are my projects:

A fun post-it note cover for your purse or desk. I used the Boudoir-Yellow-01 papers for this project, as well as Stickles, black velvet ribbon and white lace.

A card with "A Girly Greeting" using papers Boudoir-Yellow-08, Boudoir-Yellow-12, and Boudoir-BW-33, plus some more Stickles, and some black linen ribbon.

A Pink Corset Card "Ooh La La!" using papers Boudoir-Pink-2, Boudoir-Pink-8, and Boudoir-Pink-9 as well as even more Stickles, black linen ribbon, and a pink rhinestone.

And the Pink Corset Tag "Girly & Fabulous" using papers Boudoir-Pink-2, Boudoir-Pink-8, and Boudoir-Pink-9, along with lace, tulle, black linen ribbon and a flower shaped gem.

As soon as they release the new Boudoir kit I'll be sure to post about it here so you can go check it out for yourself. In the meantime, please go visit the Making Handmade Cards website now so you can see what they are all about, the kits that are already available (there's one free one on there, too), and tips and techniques for making great cards with their products. Keep checking back, I've got another kit I'm working on now, so there will be new projects to share with you within a couple of days.

Thanks for visiting! Becky
