Thanks for visiting!

Welcome! This is the place where I share my artsy and crafty projects. I am an evolving artist these days ... finding myself enjoying less of the cards and mini albums that I have made for years, and turning to art journaling and more artistic endeavors. I have always enjoyed some craft or other, and some of my earliest memories of my mother helping me make paper dolls and other crafts. I am now in my 60's and finding myself more passionately enjoying creating beautiful things and learning new skills and techniques and products.

While you are here I hope you will find inspiration and ideas for making your own projects, however any images or projects you find here are my personal property and should not be used for your own monetary gain, or for contests or challenges. Thank You!

2 Sketches 4 You - Kazan's Sketch 55 Challenge

Sometimes cards come easy when using a sketch.  Other times, not so much.  But this card, made using the latest sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You  (2S4U) came together very quick and easy - once I decided to use my new Basic Grey papers!  This week's sketch (Kazan's Sketch 55) is being sponsored by The Cutting Cafe, a really great place to find digital images for every occasion.  Here is Kazan's sketch . . .

And here is my card based on the sketch . . .

"Fruit of the Spirit"

And here are all the details . . .

Tools:
  • The card base was cut using Cricut cartridge Walk in My Garden, card2 set at 5 inches.
  • The fruit paper was cut using Cricut cartridge Walk in My Garden, card1 set at 4 3/4 inches.
  • The flowered paper circle was cut using Cricut cartridge Plantin Schoolbook, circle set at 6 inches.
  • The small card stock circles were cut using Cricut cartridge Plantin Schoolbook, circle set at 1 inch.
  • The sentiment was printed using my ink jet printer, and trimmed using my Carl PRT-100 rotary cutter using the straight blade.

Products:
  • Yellow card stock is Die Cuts With a View - Citrus stack
  • Tan card stock is Bazzill burlap texture
  • Patterned paper is Basic Grey nook&pantry line, fruit salad - both sides
  • Flowers are Prima
  • Button and brown bakers twine from my stash

So there you have it!  My card for the 2S4U sketch this week.  I have SO MUCH scrapping 'stuff', and yet I never seem to have things that match that well, but when I make a card like this, and everything matches and works well together, it makes me a very happy scrapper!  Thanks for visiting!  Becky
