Thanks for visiting!

Welcome! This is the place where I share my artsy and crafty projects. I am an evolving artist these days ... finding myself enjoying less of the cards and mini albums that I have made for years, and turning to art journaling and more artistic endeavors. I have always enjoyed some craft or other, and some of my earliest memories of my mother helping me make paper dolls and other crafts. I am now in my 60's and finding myself more passionately enjoying creating beautiful things and learning new skills and techniques and products.

While you are here I hope you will find inspiration and ideas for making your own projects, however any images or projects you find here are my personal property and should not be used for your own monetary gain, or for contests or challenges. Thank You!

Cute Card Thursday, Card for Deb, and more Jenni Bowlin goodies!

I'm really loving using my new stash of Jenni Bowlin goodies that I won on the Moxie Fab World blog.  The colors are so crisp and have a retro feel that I just love!  I also love that they go so well with the images from Crafty Secrets "Heartwarming Vintage' line.  I needed to make a Thank You card for my blogging friend, Deb, who was the hostess AND my partner in a Teacup Swap, so once again I went looking for a challenge inspiration and found what I was looking for at Cute Card Thursday's Challenge #122.  Here is the sketch . . .

and here is my card based on the sketch . . .

And here is the 'scoop' . . .

Products:
  • Base card stock is Die Cuts With a View
  • Patterned papers are Jenni Bowlin 'Homespun' line
  • Textured cardstock is from Jenni Bowlin 'Brights' by core'dinations
  • Large flower paper and small red and white 'banner' are journaling cards from Jenni Bowlin 'Homespun' line
  • Image is from Crafty Secrets, Heartwarming Vintage line 'Domestic Goddess' sheet
  • Gems on butterfly are from Prima e Line
  • Stickles 'Diamond'
  • VersaMark ink
  • Ranger 'Pine Green' embossing powder
  • Vintage buttons and cotton twine from my stash

Info:
  • Card was cut on Cricut 'Walk in my Garden' cartridge using 'card2'
  • Butterfly was cut on Cricut 'Serenade' cartridge using 'Butrfly3'
  • Scalloped circle was cut on Cuttlebug using Spellbinders Nestabilities 'Scalloped Circles Small'
  • Textured cardstock in scalloped circle was sanded lightly with an emery board to bring out lighter color.
  • Sticklse on flower, bow, pie, etc. for a bit of sparkle
  • Image was backed on green DCWV card stock and popped up on foam squares

As I said above, I am really loving how well these Jenni Bowlin papers are working with the Crafty Secrets images - they really make for sweet cards with a retro feel.  Thanks for visiting, and I hope to see you again soon!  Becky
