Thanks for visiting!

Welcome! This is the place where I share my artsy and crafty projects. I am an evolving artist these days ... finding myself enjoying less of the cards and mini albums that I have made for years, and turning to art journaling and more artistic endeavors. I have always enjoyed some craft or other, and some of my earliest memories of my mother helping me make paper dolls and other crafts. I am now in my 60's and finding myself more passionately enjoying creating beautiful things and learning new skills and techniques and products.

While you are here I hope you will find inspiration and ideas for making your own projects, however any images or projects you find here are my personal property and should not be used for your own monetary gain, or for contests or challenges. Thank You!

What I've Been Doing . . .

~

Things have been kind of busy lately, but any time I have a few minutes, I try to work on something crafty.  That's what I do - it's what gives me a sense of peace and contentment.  And I wanted to share a few of my latest projects with you, my crafty friends!

I did make a couple of cards for the World Card Making Day (WCMD) contest sponsored by Paper Crafts magazine - there are some incredible prizes up for grabs, but you have to send in the cards, and I won't be able to show them on here until I find out whether or not I 1)won one of the prizes and/or 2)will have the honor of either of them being published!  They are made with some of those yummy Cosmo Cricket 'Togetherness' papers, though, and I love those goodies!

First up, a card I made for a challenge a couple of weeks ago, but was unable to get a pic and a blog post in time for the deadline.  It is made using some of my favorite goodies by Jenni Bowlin . . .

Products:  Jenni Bowlin 'geoflower' paper, Jenni Bowlin Homespun Journaling Cards, Rubons - Kaiser Craft 'occasions', gems are Prima e. Line, flowers are Hero Arts 'summer'.

Oh, and I forgot to mention I have been working on some projects for upcoming sketches for Unscripted Sketches, but I can't show them to you yet, either.  I 'can' tell you that my projects, based on the sketches are:  10/9 - altered journal, 10/16 - wall hanging, and 10/23 - Christmas card.  But you will have to wait for more!

And one last project I've been working on - dish cloths, or wash cloths, or whatever purpose for which you wish to use them!  I call them Granny's Workhorse because they are double thick (crocheted with two strands of yarn instead of one), heavy, and last forever!  Here is a pic of just a few I've been working on . . .

They are made of 100% cotton yarn, totally machine washable and dryable, and as I said above - last forever!  They are approximately 6 1/2" X 7 1/2", and are heavy duty!  I am working on these when we are riding around (as long as I'm not driving), while watching TV, and at doctors appointments and such with my mother.  She is having cataract surgery on her right eye this coming Monday, and then the left eye on the 18th, so I'll have yarn and crochet hook with me to keep me busy while they are doing their thing!  When I have a few more of these made up I hope to re-open my Etsy shop with a selection of them and a few other, prettier things, including vintage aprons, linens and such.  I'll keep you posted on the grand re-opening!

And I think that's enough for tonight!  I'm off to get into my warm jammies and go watch ANTM and crochet a while.  Take care!  Becky
