Thanks for visiting!

Welcome! This is the place where I share my artsy and crafty projects. I am an evolving artist these days ... finding myself enjoying less of the cards and mini albums that I have made for years, and turning to art journaling and more artistic endeavors. I have always enjoyed some craft or other, and some of my earliest memories of my mother helping me make paper dolls and other crafts. I am now in my 60's and finding myself more passionately enjoying creating beautiful things and learning new skills and techniques and products.

While you are here I hope you will find inspiration and ideas for making your own projects, however any images or projects you find here are my personal property and should not be used for your own monetary gain, or for contests or challenges. Thank You!

ICS # 109 . . . Hello Sunshine!

Hi Folks!  Just a quick post to share a card I made tonight for the Inspirational Card Sketches Sketch #109.  I have been a fan of ICS for a long time, and ages ago I participated pretty often, but I just don't have the time now, but I was determined to make a card tonight, and when I found their sketch, I just knew this was 'the one'. Here is their great sketch . . .

And here is my take on the sketch . . .

And all of the details . . .

Products:

  • Black cardstock is Bazzill Basics
  • All other cardstock is The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby)
  • Patterned paper is Cosmo Cricket - Garden Variety
  • Stickles 'Goldenrod'
  • SRM Stickers #53002 'Hello'
  • EK Success 3D-Dots

Tips Tools and Techniques:

Cricut Expression:
  • Card base cut using Walk In My Garden cartridge, card2 set at 5"
  • Patterned paper cut using WIMG cartridge, card1 set at 5"
  • Yellow square cut using WIMG cartridge, card1 set at 3 1/4"
  • Sunshine cut using Create A Critter cartridge, using Sun, and Layers 1 and 2, all set at 3"
Others:
  • Assembled sun, added Stickles
  • Placed stickers on orange cardstock and trimmed to size
  • Placed yellow square on foam dots and placed in center
  • Put sentiments in place
  • Added foam dots to sun and put in place
This was a very easy card - once I got the sun cut out!  This was my first time using that cartridge and it took me a minute or two to figure out the layers, but after that it was easy.

Thanks so much for visiting, and I hope to see you again very soon!  Blessings, Becky
