Thanks for visiting!

Welcome! This is the place where I share my artsy and crafty projects. I am an evolving artist these days ... finding myself enjoying less of the cards and mini albums that I have made for years, and turning to art journaling and more artistic endeavors. I have always enjoyed some craft or other, and some of my earliest memories of my mother helping me make paper dolls and other crafts. I am now in my 60's and finding myself more passionately enjoying creating beautiful things and learning new skills and techniques and products.

While you are here I hope you will find inspiration and ideas for making your own projects, however any images or projects you find here are my personal property and should not be used for your own monetary gain, or for contests or challenges. Thank You!

Tag Tuesday Challenge . . . It's All About The Chair!

Just a quick post to share with you a tag I made for Rebecca's 'new' tag Tuesday challenge.  The theme this week is 'chair', and here is my take on that challenge . . .

And here are the details . . .

Products:

  • Base cardstock is kraft from The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby)
  • Patterned papers are from Echo Park's 'For The Record' by Bella Road
  • Image from clipart software
  • Stickles 'Platinum'
  • Flower and gem are Prima
  • Seam binding is from Bluebird Lane Etsy shop

Image from clipart software - I trimmed the chair out of the picture to showcase it and inked the edges.

Labels cut using Cuttlebug and Spellbinders Nestabilities 'Labels Four' dies.

Tag was cut using Cricut Expression and A Child's Year cartridge, StkHrs-s using card feature set at 6"

Bits and Tidbits:
  • Printed image, trimmed with scissors, popped up on foam dots for dimension
  • Inked edges of tag with brown ink, then lightly touched edges with Stickles 'Platinum'
  • Offset labels for emphasis and added flower and gem.
  • Tied bow of two lengths of seam binding.

Have you ever shopped 'til you dropped?  It honestly doesn't take me long to feel like I need a good comfy chair and maybe something nice to snack on, unless I'm at a yard sale or estate sale, and then I can shop all day!  Thanks so much for visiting . . . Blessings, friends!  Becky
