Thanks for visiting!

Welcome! This is the place where I share my artsy and crafty projects. I am an evolving artist these days ... finding myself enjoying less of the cards and mini albums that I have made for years, and turning to art journaling and more artistic endeavors. I have always enjoyed some craft or other, and some of my earliest memories of my mother helping me make paper dolls and other crafts. I am now in my 60's and finding myself more passionately enjoying creating beautiful things and learning new skills and techniques and products.

While you are here I hope you will find inspiration and ideas for making your own projects, however any images or projects you find here are my personal property and should not be used for your own monetary gain, or for contests or challenges. Thank You!

Blog Challenge Garden and Sugar Creek Hollow Challenges

I love projects that come together quick and easy!  The tag I made is for two challenges:

Here is my tag . . .

Now, I must say that this tag came together in considerably less than ten minutes if you don't count the time it took the Stickles to dry!  That is mostly because I picked out an image I had printed for another project and did not use, and the brown label that I had cut out earlier today for another project.  It was meant to be!  Also, I hadn't realized until I looked at the Sugar Creek Hollow site to make sure my tag fit, that I used the exact same image they have on their blog header!  Yes, this image had 4 bees, but I cut one off to make it fit the tag!

Supply List:
  • Tag base - #5 Manila tag
  • Patterned paper - My Minds Eye
  • Brown card stock - The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby)
  • Image - I'm not really sure, I thought it was Graphics Fairy, but it wasn't in my folder for her images, so sorry!
  • Stickles 'platinum' - Ranger Inks
  • Twill ribbon - Upcycled from some packaging
  • Brown ink - Stampabilities (Hobby Lobby)

Tools:
  • Cuttlebug
  • Spellbinders Nestabilities 'Labels 4' largest die
  • Scissors, craft knife, ruler, rotary cutter and 1/4" hole punch

I love this tag, and I especially love that it just came together so easily.  Some projects are like that, others . . . well, we just won't talk about this time~!  Blessings everyone, Becky

Hi Becky, Your tag is great. I love the unusal tag shape over the traditional tag shape. The stickles bling on the bugs is just perfect. Linda

Becky, beautiful job with your tag this week...love the image and the text in the bg. I too love when things just seem to fall in place. So glad you could play at Sugar Creek Hollow this week.

Becky, your bee tag is bee-u-tiful! The colors are great. Sometimes simple is really the best, after all. Anything else would have detracted from the bees. Just perfect.
