When I saw Rebecca's challenge this week over at the Blog Challenge Garden's 'Tag Tuesday' challenge, I knew what I wanted to do. I have a special folder in Picasa for just such a project, and that's the first place I headed! A vintage bride, an old (very fuzzy) copy of a marriage license, a vintage-y button, some vintage hem lace, and a cute sparrow sending joy, and there you have my tag. I wanted a very mono-tone look and feel, but with one big pop of color - expressing joy on this day - and I think that's what I ended up with in this tag. Here is my project . . .
The tag base was cut using my Cricut Expression and the Elegant Edges cartridge, Branch-s using Oblong feature set at 4 1/4". I hand cut the bride's picture and the swallow image.
I don't know who the bride is, but can't you just imagine her bundling up her license, her picture, a card from a loved one, and a bit of lace from her dress, all tied up in a bundle and storing it in her trunk? I can!
Thanks for visiting!
Welcome! This is the place where I share my artsy and crafty projects. I am an evolving artist these days ... finding myself enjoying less of the cards and mini albums that I have made for years, and turning to art journaling and more artistic endeavors. I have always enjoyed some craft or other, and some of my earliest memories of my mother helping me make paper dolls and other crafts. I am now in my 60's and finding myself more passionately enjoying creating beautiful things and learning new skills and techniques and products.
While you are here I hope you will find inspiration and ideas for making your own projects, however any images or projects you find here are my personal property and should not be used for your own monetary gain, or for contests or challenges. Thank You!
