Thanks for visiting!

Welcome! This is the place where I share my artsy and crafty projects. I am an evolving artist these days ... finding myself enjoying less of the cards and mini albums that I have made for years, and turning to art journaling and more artistic endeavors. I have always enjoyed some craft or other, and some of my earliest memories of my mother helping me make paper dolls and other crafts. I am now in my 60's and finding myself more passionately enjoying creating beautiful things and learning new skills and techniques and products.

While you are here I hope you will find inspiration and ideas for making your own projects, however any images or projects you find here are my personal property and should not be used for your own monetary gain, or for contests or challenges. Thank You!

Card Patterns Sketch 49 and Daring Card Makers - Schooldays

I love the bright colors of this card for two more challenges.  And it's purely an accident that my card is the same color as the background of the sketch below.  I'd been saving the ribbon for a special occasion, and it just fit so well with this card and challenge!  The challenges are . . .

Card Patterns Sketch 49 . . .

and Daring Cardmakers 'dare' to make a card with a school days theme.

Here is my take on both challenges . . .

And here is all the info . . .

Product List:
  • All cardstock from Die Cuts With A View (DCWV) 'Brights' cardstock stack
  • Ribbon from Hobby Lobby - store brand
  • Rub-on from Melissa Frances
  • Stickles 'stardust' and 'platinum'
  • Digital image from clipart software
Cricut Info:
  • Base of card cut using Walk in My Garden cartridge, card 2 @ 5"
  • 'Blast' cut from Plantin SchoolBook (sorry, can't remember the size!)
  • Letters cut from Plantin SchoolBook @ 1" and 1" with shadow
What student wouldn't love to find a card like this in their lunchbox or backpack with an encouraging note from their parent?  Well, that's all from me for today - I've got laundry and dishes to do, but I'll be back soon with as many cards as I can find time to make.  Blessings friends!  Becky
