This past Saturday I had a fun day with some of the 'Stickles Angels' at my favorite LSS, Altered Angel in Alpharetta, GA. There were only a few of us, but we really had a good time, and I got to make six new cards ... a set of 3 note cards and 3 other cards ... using some new images I bought on Etsy.
First up is a cute bunny card for Easter or spring! Patterned paper is Websters Pages, card stock is The Paper Studio, flowers are Prima, lace bought at Altered Angel, and sentiment is SRM Stickers.
Next up is this amazingly cute little baby chick! He's so fluffy and sweet you feel like you could reach out and feel his fluff! Card stock is The Paper Studio, patterned paper is October Afternoon Cherry Hill 'Egg Basket', Ribbon is from my stash, sentiment is from SRM Stickers, and flowers are Prima.
Here is my favorite of the single cards! It has the cutest image of a little girl in her Easter finery, leading a pair of geese ... who are wearing high heels! This is just too cute! The card stock is The Paper Studio, patterned paper is Authentique, Stickles 'platinum' and 'diamond', flower from Prima, vintage button from my stash, and the white seam binding is from my stash, and the rose seam binding is from my shop! Yes, I have a shop that is selling seam binding ... look for a link below!
Here is the set of 3 note cards. The card stock is The Paper Studio, the patterned paper is from Echo Park, Victoria Garden 6 x 6" paper pad, sentiments from SRM Stickers, Stickles 'diamond', and seam binding from my shop. The set of 3 ...
and each card individually ...
And here is a link to where I bought the collage sheets that I used for the images.
And a link to my new shop ... Miss Myrtle's Sundries.
Thanks for visiting today, and thanks for letting me share with you the cards I made on Saturday. I had a great time, both in the crafting and the chatting with ladies who enjoy doing similar things! Come back soon, Blessings! Becky
Thanks for visiting!
Welcome! This is the place where I share my artsy and crafty projects. I am an evolving artist these days ... finding myself enjoying less of the cards and mini albums that I have made for years, and turning to art journaling and more artistic endeavors. I have always enjoyed some craft or other, and some of my earliest memories of my mother helping me make paper dolls and other crafts. I am now in my 60's and finding myself more passionately enjoying creating beautiful things and learning new skills and techniques and products.
While you are here I hope you will find inspiration and ideas for making your own projects, however any images or projects you find here are my personal property and should not be used for your own monetary gain, or for contests or challenges. Thank You!

Wishing You Peace - My Second Assignment for The Hens' Den
I've been having such fun as a part of the Design Team over at The Hens' Den! All the ladies on the team are so talented, and our leaders Charlie and Cheri are very encouraging and so funny! They have encouraged us to share our favorites from the sneak peeks of new products coming out this weekend at CHA-W, and we've had lots of discussions about what we like and don't like. It is wonderful to be a part of such a creative group of people!
Now I am here to share with you my second project as a member of the team. It is a card made from some lovely My Minds Eye papers and a couple of things from my stash. Check out my card ...
And here are all of the details ...
Supplies:
Tools:
· Cricut Expression and ‘Walk In My Garden’ cartridge, Martha Stewart/EK Success scoring board & paper trimmer, ‘Arch Scallop’ border punch, scissors, ruler, craft knife
Steps:
· Cut
card base using Cricut Expression and Walk In My Garden cartridge, set
at 5”. Score at center (using register marks) and fold in half. Press
fold.
· Cut patterned paper base using Cricut Expression and Walk In My Garden cartridge, set at 5”. Adhere to card base.
· Ink edges with brown ink.
· Cut “Love Letters” paper to 5” X 3”. Apply decorative border using border punch on two long edges.
· Ink edges with brown ink. Adhere to front of card.
· Using scissors, trim (aka ‘fussy cut’) one lace design from the patterned paper.
· Ink edges with brown ink. Adhere to front of card.
· For
the button, I used a 1 ½” coverable button, covered with ecru fabric
and vintage ecru lace. These can be found in any fabric shop.
Different brands work differently, so refer to the instructions that
come with your buttons.
· Adhere button to center of lace ‘cut’.
· Adhere sticker sentiment to scrap of ivory card stock. Trim around sticker. Ink edges with brown ink. Adhere to card.
And that is all there is to it! Wouldn't you love to make a card just like this? Well, you can find the things you need (and more) at The Hens' Den online shop.
Thanks for visiting today!

I can't tell you how happy I am about this card!!! I have been working and working on layering, and stalking some of my card making heroes like Cherry Nelson and Beatriz Jennings and more. I think this one came close to what I have been wanting, so I am very pleased with it! Here are the details ...
Supplies:
- Card base - Michaels 'Recollections' Value Pack with Envelopes
- Base patterned paper, K&Company 'Cut 'n' Paste' Stack (two floral images also came from this same sheet!)
- Bird image - Bumble Button
- Sentiment - SRM Stickers
- Sparkly ribbon and laces, button - my stash
- Orange ribbon - 7 Gypsies
- Green ribbon - Anna Griffin
- Brown ink - Stampabilities
- Stickles - Platinum - Ranger Inks
- Chipboard oval - Crafty Secrets
- Chipboard frame - Tattered Angels
Tools:
- Martha Stewart / EK Success Paper Trimmer
- Scissors, craft knife, ruler
- EK Success border punch 'Arch Scallop'
Tips:
- Image - I printed 2 copies, trimmed one in it's entirety, and then fussy cut the second leaving only the bird and limb it is sitting on. Then I bumped the fussy cut image up on foam dots and placed it over the original in the image.
- Rose bouquet on left side is fussy cut from the K&Company paper sheet from 'Cut 'n' Paste' stack. After trimming it, I inked the edges then touched them with platinum Stickles.
- Rose Medallion in lower right corner - I cut the rose from the same K&Co. paper, then placed the chipboard oval where I wanted it and scored around it so the paper would fold easily. Then I clipped around the edges of the paper and folded it under the chipboard gluing as I went along. Then I cut a length of lace and glued it underneath the medallion.
And that is it! I really, truly LOVE this card, and I hope you have enjoyed it, too! Thanks for visiting! Blessings, Becky

Friendship's Garden Bonus Week Challenge
Hi there! I know I've been missing in action the last couple of weeks, but I just kind of took a break from blogging during the Christmas and New Years holidays. And it was a much needed and enjoyed break, too! But now I'm back and ready to go, starting this new year with a new bonus challenge at Frienship's Garden!
This week's challenge is to make an ATC (artist trading card) with a vintage children's theme. If you aren't familiar with ATC's, you can find links to lots of information about them on the Friendship's Garden blog.
Making ATC's is kind of addictive, so I made four very different examples ...
Thanks so much for visiting today, and please go visit the Friendship's Garden blog and make an ATC or two to enter! Blessings, Becky
